Claire Salvo’s drawings linger on the everyday objects that shape our collective nostalgia—things once used, worn, and discarded, yet still pulsing with life. The works in her latest series, Smoke Break, are inspired by a single object: a vintage Camel lighter. Through colored pencil, graphite, oil paint and ink, Smoke Break illustrates variations on a vice.
