In his latest collection, Viktor Kobylianski deepens his investigation into how materials hold memory, tension, and the subtle residue of internal states. Each work begins as a tactile exchange with mineral-based slurries, locally sourced sand, pigments, and raw canvas—materials that respond to pressure, absence, and the passage of time. Rather than striving for a polished image, Kobylianski allows the surface to function as a record of process, preserving traces of movement and stillness alike.
