Description
This painting work shows 2 African entertainers. In Africa(Nigeria)there is a drum called the “TALKING DRUM”.In Yoruba language they call it Gangan. This is used both for entertainment and for communication. If there is any information to be spread to the villagers and the neighbourhood ,the drummer will beat his drum with a sound that the villagers understand . Villagers recognize the sopund mif it a good news or bad news. Also used to call urgent meeting at the Chief’s palace.
