For this series of landscapes, Gabor focused on limiting his color palette and accentuating form and texture in these photographs. By doing so, he created an immersive and slightly disorienting experience for the viewer, reminiscent of a location one cannot quite recall.

“I’m not trying to summarize a place in a single image. It’s more about describing the details – such as the way the light falls on or off a pine tree, the mist as the base of a mountain, alien striations only seen from above. I want the landscapes to feel like studies.”
