Detection of non-metal pipes
Non-metal pipes can be detected if the glass fiber rod can be inserted into the pipe in question. The rod is equipped with a copper strand so that it can be energized by a pipeline locating system such as FERROPHON® or UtiliTrac® using a generator and then detected using a receiver. In this way, the path of the pipe in question can be determined quickly and exactly to the last meter. This is a sluice fitting accessory to the probe rods. It can be used to have the probe rod in a pressurized water line. This allows locating the line under pressure or locating leaks and pipe at the same time. Sluices for glass-fibre rod GFS (6 mm) or GSK (4.5 mm), to insert the glass-fibre rods into pipes under pressure (e. g. house service lines).
