Trudon is best known as the world’s oldest candlemaker still active today. Founded by the Trudon family, the Trudons supplied all the candles of Versailles daily, serving King Louis XIV, during his reign. Part of Trudon’s Nuit Rouge collection, 45° is conceived as an addictive amber-vanilla fragrance, built around a trio of vanillas. It opens with a golden accord of honey and bright bergamot, immediately wrapping the skin in warmth and softness.
As it develops, creamy vanilla absolute and Madagascar vanilla take centre stage, supported by a modern woody note that adds structure and depth. The result is a sensual, enveloping trail — rich without feeling heavy, intimate yet unmistakably present.
In the base, benzoin and natural vanillin create a balsamic, almost liquor-like glow. 45° flirts with rising heat, suggesting passion and desire, and offers an elegant, grown-up take on vanilla that feels both carnal and refined.
